Here at Absolute Rocks we pay homage to the originator, the mother of all music festivals, the one that is still talked about, documented and remembered to this day. In August 1969 500,000 people rocked up to a dairy farm in Bethel USA to attend the Woodstock Music & Art Fair.
It was here where peace lovers witnessed 32 leading and emerging performers play at the most pivotal moment in music history. Artists including Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Band, Janis Joplin, Johnny Winter, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jefferson Airplane, Ten Years After, Joan Baez, Santana, Joe Cocker, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.
